A Christmas Tree (duh). Feel free to choose a colour scheme like red & gold or teal & silver to make it more fun!
A Tree Skirt - this adds some flare to the bottom of your Christmas tree! A must have.
Ornaments - this is pretty obvious but I wanted to share my favourite place to get ornaments. It’s a local shop called Bexley Design Co. I have her make custom ornaments for my clients!
A Garland - you can put this above your fireplace, or wrapped up your stair railing.
Stockings! Have one for each person who lives in your home (even your pets)!
Wreath - you’ll want to hang this on your front door or in your entryway.
Candles - my favourites are the wood wick candles so it sounds like a cozy fireplace crackling while it burns. Local shops (Temper + Lace, Milk Jar Candle Co, Sedge Co Candles)
Christmas Plants - Pointsettas are great or if you’re a more neutral person, go for an Amaryllis plant!
Rustic Holiday Signs - you can get holiday themed farmhouse signs from two of my favourite local shops (Our Little Makery & Inspired Findings)
Advent Calendars - there are lots of options for these nowadays. Get something that you’ll be excited to open everyday!
Fuzzy Blankets & Throws - this is a given! I have found some of my favourite blankets at Indigo, Homesense or Winners.
Dining Table Accessories - you can find cute holiday table runners, place mats, napkins, dinnerware sets, holiday themed wine glasses, etc!
Decorations - such as bows, nutcrackers, mini trees, nativity scenes, reindeer, etc.
There are so many ways you can decorate for the holidays. It may be overwhelming to determine what style you want to go for. I use Pinterest to get some ideas first. Have fun, get creative and see what you can come up with!
